This particular litigation had its inception in a petition filed by the state of Tennessee in the consolidated causes of the Central Trust Company of Hew York against the Harriman Coal & Iron Railroad Company, and J. H. Whitemore et al. against the Harriman Coal & Iron Railroad Company.
