This is a suit for damages for libel on business reputation, commenced by petition filed by plaintiff, October 13, 1884, in Harris county district court, alleging that the plaintiff “is a resident citizen of Harris county, Texas, and complaining of the Bradstreet Company, a corporation created by an act of the legislature, and existing by and under the laws of the stale of Connecticut, but who has its principal office in the city and state of New York.
