Appeal from a judgment of the circuit court for Milwaukee county; Wabkew D. Takbant,-Circuit Judge. This is an action to recover damages for personal injuries. In August, 1900, and for some time prior thereto, the defendants, as partners, were manufacturers of hats in the city of Milwaukee, and at the time of the accident occupied a four-story building, and had occupied the same for about two weeks.

There were two exceptions taken to rulings upon evidence, which will be noticed before proceeding to the main question in the case:.
