The employer (St. Joseph Minerals Corp.) appeals from an award by the Missouri Labor and Industrial Relations Commission (Commission) in favor of the employee (Matzker). The Commission, Watkins dissenting, upheld a decision by the Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) finding that Matzker contracted the occupational disease of lead poisoning. Matzker was awarded ten percent permanent partial disability. The sole issue on appeal is whether there was sufficient evidence to establish a permanent partial disability based on a reasonable degree of medical certainty. We…
