Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Kings County (Carroll, J.), rendered January 6, 1999, convicting him of robbery in the second degree and assault in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is affirmed.

The defendant contends that the People failed to prove his guilt of the crimes charged beyond a reasonable doubt because there was insufficient evidence that the complainant suffered a “physical injury” as defined in the Penal Law.
