This action was commenced in the district court of Allen county by A’lvin Boman to recover, as the surviving beneficiary, his wife having died, the indemnity on a joint policy of life-insurance issued to them during her lifetime. The policy on its face purports to afford indemnity to the survivor in the sum of $1000, payable ninety days after the receipt of proof of the death of the other spouse.
