The late Dr. M. A. Dauphin was twice married. His first wife was Cecilia Choppin. 1-Ie was married to her in 1866, and she died August 2, 1883. Between them the community of acquets and gains existed. He did not open her succession, or cause an inventory to be made of the community property, or make any settlement with her heirs, but simply continued in the possession and enjoyment of the community property until his death.
