Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railway Co. v. Harrison

Appellee, Mrs. Bessie Harrison, sued appellants' to recover for personal injuries alleged to have been received by her when she fell while walking along a footpath on appellants’ right-of-way near Leola, Arkansas. She alleged in her complaint that while walking in said footpath she “tripped over the rubbish which had been placed in the path by the agents, servants and employees of the defendant company, and was thrown violently to the bottom of a deep ditch along said right-of-way, breaking her left leg” and otherwise sustaining injuries, all due to the negligent acts of appellants.
