James A. Hamilton died March 15, 1915, seized of a farm, consisting of approximately 160 acres, which was occupied by himself and family as a home. He left surviving him his widow, the defendant Jennie, and seven children, three of whom were minors. Under date of April 3, 1915, the widow as first party and the four adult children, including Blanche Mann, as second parties, made and acknowledged a written agreement reciting that the widow was in possession of the farm and maintaining a home thereon for the minors and stipulating:
