The United States appeals the order of the district court1 granting a motion to *1139suppress two packages of methamphetamine and more than $6,000 in cash found during the search of the trunk of Jason Mark Kennedy’s automobile. This evidence led to Kennedy’s indictment for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1) and (b)(1)(B)(viii).
