This is an appeal from a decision of the Workmen’s Compensation Appeal Board (Board) awarding benefits to the respondent Merle W. Mertz (claimant) under the provisions of Section 108 (k) of The *276Pennsylvania Workmen’s Compensation Act, Act of June 2, 1915, P.L. 736, as amended, added by Section 1 of the Act of October 17,1972, P.L. 930, as amended, 77 P.S. §27.1 (k). For reasons that are more fully set forth below, we remand this case to the Board for further proceedings.
