Appeal from tbe Second judicial district court, before J. W. Crumpacker, Associate Justice. There are no common-law crimes against the United States. 6 Am. and Eng. Ency. of Law (2 Ed.), 289. The common-law crime of manslaughter has no existence in the courts of the United States. In his able brief, counsel for appellant has argued fifteen errors which he alleges were committed by the court on the trial of this case. As is usual on appeals of this nature, where so many exceptions are relied on, several go to the same point, and therefore, it will not be necessary for us to consider in detail each of the alleged fifteen errors, as several of them may properly be classed together, and so considered by us.
