¶ 1. On March 27, 1999, Dr. Bruce Pa-nuska, Ph.D., suffered a work-related injury when he was struck in the head by a board while working at Mississippi State University (“MSU”). Panuska filed a petition to controvert with the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Commission on February 7, 2002, and the Appellants, MSU and Mississippi State Institutions of Higher Learning, Self-Insured, filed a motion to dismiss asserting that the two-year statute of limitations had expired.
