The defendant, Crane, was indicted for bigamy, convicted, and sentenced to three years imprisonment in the State penitentiary, and has appealed to this Court.
Defendant was married, July 3, 1894, to an estimable lady in the. city of Knoxville, Tenn., by a regularly ordained minister of the gospel, and under a legal license. This fact is proven by the minister who performed the ceremony, and by a certified copy *88of the license, and the return indorsed upon it, and is not denied or questioned in any way.
