Pursuant to the provisions of chapter 368 of the Acts of 1932, the county manager form of government was adopted at an election held in Henrico county on September 19, 1933. On November 7, pursuant to provisions of the same chapter, the voters of Henrico county elected four new members of the “county board of supervisors,” who, under the act,, were required on January 1st, thereafter, to assume the duties and responsibilities of the county manager form of government.
