The Harrisburg Area School District (School District) appeals from the order of the Court of Common Pleas of Dauphin County (common pleas) denying its motions for post-trial relief and entering judgment on a jury verdict in favor of Thurston Wells, Jr., a former student in the School District who severely injured his hand when using a table saw during a woodshop class. 1 The primary arguments raised on appeal are that: (1) common pleas erred in failing to allow and consider additional evidence before concluding as a matter of law that the table saw constituted…
