In a superseding indictment filed on December 9, 2008, the Government charged defendant Norman Hsu (“Hsu”) with: (a) five counts of mail fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1342; (b) five counts of wire fraud in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 1341, 1342; and (c) four counts of campaign finance fraud in violation of 2 U.S.C. §§ 441f, 437g(d)(1)(A).
