Audrey Eldon Bagley, proceeding pro se, appeals the district court’s denial of his petition for habeas corpus relief under 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (1988). For the reasons set forth below, we affirm.

I

On September 21, 1982, Bagley committed aggravated rape. The victim had returned to her apartment after taking her daughter to school when Bagley — posing as an exterminator — appeared at her door.
