The defendant Eansom is a minister of the Protestant Episcopal church, and is in the actual discharge of his functions in the parish of Christ Church, Oyster Bay, claiming to he the rector. The other defendant, Youngs, was treasurer pf the corporation in 1858, and claims that he still holds the office, in consequence of the alleged invalidity of the election of a successor, which was made in the year 1859, at a meeting of the vestry, which the rector re-: fused to attend.
