On December 2, 1960 Karl Gretz entered into a contract of employment with Esslinger’s, Inc., for a period of two years at $30,000 per year. The contract provided, inter alia: “8. Arbitration : The parties agree that any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the breach thereof shall be settled by arbitration in the City of Philadelphia in accordance with the rules then obtaining of the American Arbitration Association and a judgment upon any award rendered may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof and shall be final,…
