Upon an indictment for murder, the appellant is condemned to confinement in the penitentiary for a period for ninety-nine years.
In a preliminary plea he urged the want of jurisdiction over his person. It appeared from the evidence and admission introduced in support of the plea that he was a native, a citizen and resident of the Republic of Mexico; that he had been forcibly arrested therein and brought to the State of Texas by a detachment of the military forces of the Government of the United States, by whom he was delivered, without his consent, to the civil…
