The administratrix resisted the claim in the court below on the following grounds and insists upon them here: (1) Appellee corporation was not authorized, on October 14, 1907, under the Act of 1905 (J. & A. ¶ 2525), as to foreign corporations, to do business and make leases on real property and the lease in question; (2) that real estate brokerage business of buying, selling, holding, reletting and subleasing cannot be carried on in Illinois by a foreign corporation; (3) that appellee had not procured the necessary certificate from…
