This is a petitory action.

The plaintiffs sue for the recovery of two tracts of land in Avoyelles parish, which they allege were illegally sold by their tutrix.

The plaintiffs are the children of Oesaire Lemoine, and inherited the property from their deceased father. Their mother, Mrs. Leocadie Lemoine, qualified as tutrix of the plaintiffs.
