In this appeal, we must determine when a cause of action accrues in a suit brought by a general contractor seeking recovery for economic losses incurred due to alleged negligent misrepresentations made by a design engineer, with whom the contractor is not in privity. The Court of Appeals held that the cause of action accrued when the general contractor entered into a contract in partial reliance on the alleged misrepresentations.
