In a negligence action to recover damages for personal injuries, defendants appeal from (1) an order of the Supreme Court, Kings County, dated December 14, 1978, which, inter alia, denied their motion to dismiss the action as abandoned and directed a "hearing on service,” and (2) an order of the same court, entered January 15, 1979, which, after a hearing, inter alia, found that the defendants were properly *861served.
