Defendant, David Hughes was charged with two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine), a Class 1 felony with a sentencing range of 4 to 15 years (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 56½, par. 1401(b)(2)), one count of controlled substance trafficking (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 56½, par. 1401.1(a)), and one count of calculated criminal drug conspiracy, a Class X felony with a sentencing range of 6 to 30 years (Ill. Rev. Stat. 1989, ch. 56½, par. 1405(a)).
