These consolidated cases arise from various transactions between McKay (plaintiff in this appeal) and Prevost (defendant in this appeal), and legal entities controlled by them, which occurred during 1985 and 1986. McKay and Prevost entered into an' exchange of property and services. McKay owned a furniture store and interi- or design firm on Airline Highway, directly across the street from Prevost’s car dealership.
