{¶ 1} This timely appeal comes for consideration upon the record in the trial court and the parties’ briefs. Plaintiff-appellant, the state of Ohio, appeals the decision of the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas that dismissed the charge of aggravated vehicular homicide that was pending against defendantappellee, Bradley Kuriger, because of a violation of Kuriger’s right to a speedy trial.
