Appeal by the defendant from a judgment of the Supreme Court, Queens County (Giaccio, J.), rendered June 18, 1998, convicting him of grand larceny in the second degree and criminal possession of stolen property in the second degree, upon a jury verdict, and imposing sentence.

Ordered that the judgment is reversed, on the law, and a new trial is ordered.

During jury selection the court asked three newly-chosen jurors whether there was any question asked, any answer given, or any subject matter that would cause them to not be able to serve on the jury and render anything but a fair and impartial…
