SUMMARY

This case involves Raymond Paul Paschall’s two convictions for driving under the influence (“DUI”), which were enhanced from misdemeanors to felonies through the introduction of two prior misdemeanor convictions. Prior to trial, Paschall raised numerous arguments in an effort to invalidate the prior convictions, all of which the district court rejected. Now on appeal, Paschall argues that: (1) the earlier justice courts did not have jurisdiction to suspend Paschall’s sentences in the prior convictions; and (2) one of the convictions was prosecuted under a county DUI ordinance…
