Richard J. McCord, the Chapter 7 Trustee (“Trustee” or “Plaintiff”) of Lan Yik Foods Corporation (“Debtor”) initiated this adversary proceeding by the filing of a complaint to recover alleged preferential payments pursuant to section 547(b) of the Bankruptcy Code. 1 According to the complaint, payments in the aggregate amount of $65,178.37 were made by the Debtor to the Defendant, Venus Foods, Inc.
