The defendant appeals from a Superior Court jury *406conviction of involuntary manslaughter by battery, G. L. c. 265, § 13.1 He contends that the evidence was insufficient to support his conviction and that the judge wrongly refused to suppress two separate sets of statements. For the following reasons, we affirm.
