Defendant was found guilty by a jury of armed robbery. He was sentenced to a term of from 25 to 50 years imprisonment and appeals.
Prior to trial defense counsel moved for a determination of defendant’s competency to stand trial. Accordingly, the trial court ordered the defendant committed to the Center for Forensic Psychiatry of the Department of Mental Health for psychiatric evaluation.
