We grant appellant’s motion for rehearing, withdraw our original opinion of June 12, 1985, and substitute the following as our opinion.

Rosario Lopez, individually and as next friend of her minor children, sued Foremost Paving, Inc., Motherall Contractors, Inc., and the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation seeking damages for personal injuries.
