This is a suit for damages for personal injuries arising out of an assault which plaintiff alleges was committed on him on the night of September 29, 1946, without cause or provocation, by one of the defendants, Edward Blanchard, at the Step-In Night Club, at Lawtell in the Parish of St. Landry, where the said Blanchard was employed by the owner of the club, Zenon Joubert, as a bouncer.
