Plaintiff’s husband was killed by defendant’s automobile while crossing a street intersection. Plaintiff charged that the death resulted from defendant’s negligence; defendant alleged that the death was due to the negligent manner in which plaintiff’s husband crossed the street. There was sufficient evidence to support a verdict for either plaintiff or defendant. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for $513.23, the exact amount expended for funeral and other expenses.
