Defendant appeals from a judgment of conviction for driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), in violation of ORS 813.010. He assigns error to the trial court’s denial of his motion to suppress, in which he argued that statements he made before his arrest occurred under compelling circumstances that required warnings under Miranda v. Arizona, 384 US 436, 444, 86 S Ct 1602, 16 L Ed 2d 694 (1966).
