Respondent David M. Sheeger was admitted to the practice of *120law in the State of New York by the Second Judicial Department on June 1, 1983. At all times relevant to these proceedings, he maintained an office for the practice of law within the First Judicial Department.

On August 1, 2007, respondent pleaded guilty to offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree (Penal Law § 175.35), a class E felony.
