¶ 1. Attorney David C. Williams appealed from the revised report of the referee, Eugene A. Gasiorkiewicz, concluding that attorney Williams violated SCR 20:8.4(g) 1 and the attorney's oath, SCR 40.15 2 . Specifically, the referee concluded that publishing four letters in a local newspaper constituted "offensive personality" in violation of the attorney's oath. While we agree with the referee that certain statements contained in the four letters were intemperate and inappropriate, we conclude that the statements do not meet the legal standard of "offensive personality" and thus do not…
