*1005 ¶ 1 Defendant Dontarries L. Williams pled guilty to criminal sexual assault ( 720 ILCS 5/11-1.20(a)(2) (West 2014)) and was sentenced to 8 years in prison with a mandatory supervised release (MSR) term of three years to natural life. As a result of his conviction, he was required to register as a sex offender under the Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA) ( 730 ILCS 150/1 et seq. (West 2016)). Within 30 days of sentencing, defendant filed a motion to withdraw his plea, which the circuit court denied.
