for the Court:

On May 28, 1980, Mississippi Power & Light Company (hereinafter MP&L) filed its Notice of Intention to Change Rates with the Mississippi Public Service Commission (hereinafter Commission), for services on or after July 1, 1980. The proposed rates were designed to produce $68,786,000 in additional gross annual operating revenues for the projected test year ending on June 30, 1981.
