Introduction

On December 4, 2012, defendant Ademir Castro-Vázquez (Castro) was convicted in *17our court, by plea of guilty, of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1), due to his possession of a fully-loaded .357 magnum revolver outside of a gas station in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico, on September 26, 2012.
