This is an action of tort brought by an employee of William J. Dorley and Company for damages for personal injuries alleged to have been sustained by the plaintiff as a result of the negligence of an employee of the defendant. The case was tried by a judge and jury, as hereinafter narrated. A motion by the defendant for a directed verdict was denied. The jury returned a verdict for the plaintiff in the amount of $1,000.
