July 15, 2025 MEMORANDUM In 2016, Petitioner William Pitt entered a non-negotiated guilty plea to third degree murder and related offenses in Pennsylvania state court arising out of his involvement in a fatal stabbing. Mr. Pitt now submits a petition for a writ of habeas corpus under 28 U.S.C. § 2254, arguing that his counsel was ineffective.
