—In an action to recover damages for personal injuries, the plaintiffs appeal (1) from an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Doyle, J.), dated February 25, 1998, which granted the defendant’s motion for summary judgment dismissing the complaint on the ground that the injured plaintiff did not sustain a serious injury within the meaning of Insurance Law § 5102 (d), and (2) as limited by their brief, from so much of an order of the same court, dated October 14, 1998, as, upon reargument, adhered to its original determination.
