TYSON, Judge.

William C. Jakes was indicted and convicted for the possession of cocaine in violation of the Alabama Uniform Controlled Substances Act, § 20-2-70, Code of Alabama 1975, and sentenced by the trial court to serve four years in the state penitentiary, which sentence was subsequently reduced to four years probation. The essence of Jakes’s contention on this appeal, also made to and rejected by the court below on his motion for a new trial, is that the evidence of the cocaine was located and seized as the direct result of the illegal arrest of Jakes, and thus should have been…
