MONROE, J.

The state of Louisiana asserts title to, and prays to be recognized as owner and put in possession of, certain bodies of water, with the soil under them, which, if they could be said to have been included in a certain examination, or survey, to which we will refer hereafter, would be parts of township 11 south, range 19 east, Southeastern district of Louisiana, east of the Mississippi river; said township forming part of the peninsula of the parish of St. Bernard, which extends eastward from the mainland and is bounded on the north by Lake Borgne and…
