Defendant was charged in a seven-count indictment with various crimes related to his sexual abuse of two girls, aged eight (hereinafter victim A) and four (hereinafter victim B). Following a jury trial, at which victim A testified, defendant was found guilty of two counts of rape in the first degree, one count of sexual abuse in the first degree and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, all related to victim A, as well as one count of endangering the welfare of a child with regard to victim B.
