This proceeding was commenced, pursuant to Judiciary Law § 755 and CPLR 7805, for the purpose of reviewing a summary contempt order issued against the petitioner by the respondent, a Family Court Judge of the County of Monroe. The order was issued on April 25, 1997, and directed that the petitioner be sentenced to 30 days in the Monroe County Jail, together with payment of a fine in the amount of $1,000.
