Plaintiff-appellant, Gregory Howard, appeals the trial court’s dismissal of his complaint against the defendants-appellees for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction. Appellant’s complaint alleged several different causes of action against appellee Covenant Apostolic Church (“Church”) and against the individual appellees, both in their official capacities as officers of the Church and in their individual capacities, for injuries he claimed he sustained when he was dismissed, or “disfellowed,” from the Church.
